New eLearning course launches for Athlete Support Personnel

UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) has launched a brand-new eLearning course designed to help everyone who supports athletes at a Talent, National or Elite level of their sport, with their clean sport responsibilities. 

Clean Sport Essentials+ (CSE+) is built around four core pillars — Mindset, Rules, Testing and Toolkit. Whether you're a doctor, physiotherapist, nutritionist or any other Athlete Support Personnel (ASP), this course is designed with you in mind. 

What’s changing? 

Developed in response to feedback from from learners and stakeholders, CSE+ replaces the previous Introduction to Clean Sport (ICS) eLearning course and sets the new standard for ASP.  

There are new real-life scenarios featured throughout to bring the course to life, and learners will be encouraged to delve further into areas of interest specific to their role, with signposting mechanisms included. 

It's more focused, relevant and counts towards your continued professional development. 

What do I need to do? 

If you're new to UKAD's learning platform, the Clean Sport Hub, you'll automatically be enrolled in CSE+ when you register. If you already hold an ICS Renewal certificate, you'll be moved across to CSE+ four weeks before your certificate expires — so there's nothing you need to do right now. 

Employers can continue to accept valid ICS, ICS Renewal or CSE+ certificates until they expire. And from now on, all certificates awarded by UKAD (or affiliated organisations) will feature a QR code so their authenticity can be verified quickly and easily. This was one of the useful recommendations provided by practitioners and employers across the ASP landscape.
