Clean sport is UKAD’s vision and athletes are at the core of everything we do. You have an integral role to play in sport and this has been recognised in the 2015 Code. New responsibilities, specifically focus on ensuring you support athletes to be and stay clean. We recognise that the 2015 Code is a complex document and we want to help you with those areas relevant to your work.
Complicity and prohibited association are two new anti-doping rule violations (ADRV):
If you help to cover up, are involved in, or support someone else to avoid being detected for an ADRV, you will face a ban.
If you are a coach, doctor or physio who has either been found guilty of an ADRV, or a criminal, or disciplinary offence equivalent to an ADRV (such as providing banned substances), you will be required to stop any association. They may face a ban of up to two years if they continue to work with you.
