UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) has been awarded Investors in People Bronze following three days of external assessment.
Investors in People provides official recognition that UKAD is committed to investing in, and supporting, its workforce in their careers and further development, along with ensuring everyone is able to contribute to the success of the organisation.
Investors in People is a framework for business improvement designed to advance an organisation’s performance through its people. Bronze organisations are considered to be advanced Investors in People, using the framework to meet business objectives and progressing beyond the standard.
The assessment comprised interviews with staff, Board members, Doping Control Personnel and National Trainers.
Through these discussions UKAD was commended on its strong organisation values, commitment to leading, managing and developing people and communication, ensuring continual improvement. UKAD was also commended that workforce have a strong connection to the mission to protect clean sport and are proud to work for the organisation.
UKAD Chief Executive, Nicole Sapstead said:
“We are delighted to receive bronze status from Investors in People. It represents an excellent achievement and recognition of our development over the last three years. The award could not have been achieved without the dedication and the hard work of our staff and large workforce based across the UK.
“UK Anti-Doping is a relatively small organisation and the successful creation of a high-performing environment has enabled us to meet and surpass the expectations placed on us, whilst ensuring that we continue to protect clean sport in the UK.”
UKAD’s Investors in People accreditation is subject to a review every 18 months, and work will continue to further develop the organisation and the experience is can offer to its workforce.
