UK Anti-Doping octopamine update

UK Anti-Doping issued the following statement on 20 September 2011:

“UK Anti-Doping’s Science and Medicine team has been working closely with other National Anti-Doping Organisations and the World Anti-Doping Agency on this matter, which is due to be discussed at the next WADA laboratory committee meeting in November. We have also been in discussions with HFL, and sporting organisations.

“Our advice to athletes remains the same should they be considering using any supplements. They should assess the risk, assess the need, and seek dietary advice from their nutritionist or dietician.”
