Therapeutic Use Exemption Guidelines update for Hay Fever

With the hay fever season fast approaching, UK Anti-Doping has released updated TUE guidelines for all athletes and support personnel to be aware of.

The update has been sent to National Governing Bodies and Doctors who make annual hay fever applications, importantly notifying that specialist opinion supporting the use of an intramuscular corticosteroid injection will now be mandatory.

The new guidelines come into effect from Friday 15 April. Applications must also be submitted in advance of treatment and be supported by medical evidence to justify therapeutic use.

For the full guidelines, including the supporting evidence required, please visit the TUE section of the website here.
