Nicole was appointed to the role of Chief Executive Officer in February 2015. She previously worked as Director of Operations and was responsible for the delivery of UKAD’s testing programme, intelligence and investigations function, and science portfolio.
Nicole has worked in anti-doping since 1998, as Assistant to the Director and Legal Advisor at the Drug Control Centre at King’s College, and in various roles at UK Sport, where she progressed to Head of Operations before joining UKAD in 2009.
Graham is responsible for all legal advice provided to UKAD, both internally and externally. This includes the management of all legal issues associated with the delivery by UKAD of its responsibilities pursuant to the World Anti-Doping Code and the UK National Anti-Doping Policy. Graham heads up the UKAD Legal Team, which in turn is responsible for both the collation and processing of all analytical results derived from UKAD’s Testing program, and the prosecution of both analytical and non-analytical anti-doping rule violation proceedings brought against UK sportspeople.
Graham brings a wealth of experience in anti-doping, having acted as an Advisor to the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) for a number of years prior to joining UKAD. He also has considerable experience working with Government on behalf of the technology industry, and working with law enforcement agencies on counterfeiting and piracy matters. Graham specialised for several years in private practice in the contentious intellectual property field and has extensive experience of case management.
Graham currently holds the position of Rapporteur to the UNESCO Convention on Anti-Doping Conference of Parties, and in May 2014 was elected Chair of the Advisory Group on Legal Issues for the Monitoring Group of the Anti-Doping Convention (T-DO) of the Council of Europe. Away from anti-doping, Graham has been a member of the IPC’s Classification Committee for several years, this Committee being the body responsible for developing and implementing Classification strategy within the Paralympic Movement.
Philip is responsible for leading the delivery of business services and the development of commercial service opportunities. Previously, he worked in the third sector to enhance the business and financial capabilities of two leading charities. He is also the honorary treasurer of an international development charity. As a keen follower of football, rugby union and cricket, Philip is passionate about contributing towards a culture of clean sport.
Nicola is responsible for leading the management and development of UKAD's communications, education and partner engagement strategies which are integral to the prevention of inadvertent and deliberate doping in the UK.
She has extensive communications and marketing experience gained over several year as a Director within both the public and private education sectors. Nicola is also a Non-Executive Director of British Shooting.
