Annual Report 2010/2011
UK Anti-Doping, the National Anti-Doping Organisation, has published its annual report for 2010/11, which is now available to view online.
2010/11 represented the first year of full operation for the organisation, with significant steps made in the education of athletes and the agency’s intelligence operation.
As outlined in Chief Executive Andy Parkinson’s introduction to the report, UK Anti-Doping has made further headway in listening to the all-important views of athletes through the introduction of the Athlete Committee. This group allows the organisation to understand and meet the needs of athletes more effectively.
During this 12-month period, 24 cases were brought against athletes for anti-doping rule violations, with 35% of those tests conducted targeted.
The annual report includes full details of how we are striving to achieve doping-free sport through our four strategic objectives, with information on the collaborative partnerships we have established with external agencies and government bodies.
