Gifted and talented athlete

The Junior Athlete Education (JAE) programme is designed to support Gifted and Talented young athletes, identified through the school system. Implemented through sports colleges, universities and their partnership schools, the programme aims to support young athletes achieve a balanced lifestyle of training, competition, education and social time.

As part of this programme, UK Anti-Doping has trained a network of university-based Educators who organise and run JAE Academy days for Gifted and Talented athletes. These educators are provided with support and resources, enabling them to deliver anti-doping workshops.

Through this programme UK Anti-Doping aims to reach over 1,000 young gifted and talented athletes, educating them in the values and core decisions they need to make to be clean and stay clean.
