About UK Anti-Doping Paul Collingwood

Drawing the line at doping in sport

UK Anti-Doping is the national body responsible for the implementation and management of the UK’s anti-doping policy.

Responsible for ensuring sports bodies in the UK comply with the World Anti-Doping Code, UK Anti-Doping is an intelligence led organisation that works with athletes and sports to develop and deliver education and information programmes. As well as carrying out testing across more than 40 sports, UK Anti-Doping undertakes intelligence management and is responsible for the determination of anti-doping rule violations.

UK Anti-Doping is an active participant in the global fight against doping and recognises the need to take an international approach. Partnerships with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), UNESCO (2006 UNESCO Convention Against Doping in Sport), the Association of National Anti-Doping Organisations, the Council of Europe and the International Anti-Doping Agreement are integral to UK Anti-Doping’s international activities.

The UK Anti-Doping remit is clear – to take a lead role in the fight against doping in sport.
